Women engineers across ASEAN play an essential role in shaping the future by advancing technology, sustainability, and leadership in the engineering sector. As the world embraces the digital era and strives toward smart and sustainable solutions, women engineers are stepping up to lead innovations that impact both the economy and society.
At the 42nd Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 42), Women Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (WEAFEO) will organize the Women Engineers Summit 2024, offering an opportunity to showcase leadership, share knowledge, and inspire the next generation of engineers.
This year’s summit, titled “Women’s Leadership: Engineering ASEAN’s Digital, Smart, and Sustainable Tomorrow,” will focus on leadership roles that women engineers play in driving ASEAN’s growth in a digital, smart, and sustainable landscape. Attendees will include professionals, students, and leaders who will engage in collaborative discussions and networking.
The summit will feature panel presentations and talk shows, with prominent women engineers discussing their research, achievements, and leadership experiences. These sessions will provide critical insights into overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities in today’s evolving engineering environment.
Attendees can also participate in technical visits, contribute to meaningful corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and engage in cultural immersion activities, such as visit to Koisaan Cultural Village that celebrate Sabah rich cultural diversity. These activities will offer a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of culture, sustainability, and innovation, enhancing the overall summit experience.
WEAFEO is open to all women delegates that have registered for the main CAFEO 42 conference.
